Chocolate is good for you!


Treat yourself to chocolate. Cocoa, the main ingredient in chocolate, has high levels of antioxidants called flavanols, which have strong heart and brain protecting properties.

Researchers found that eating roughly 15g of dark chocolate a day – giving you 500mg of cocoa flavanols – for 2 weeks reduces blood pressure significantly.  Cocoa powder has the most flavanols, twice as much as dark chocolate, which has twice as many as milk chocolate.  White chocolate has zero!
