Home Help Services

Home Help Services is a service comprising a number of volunteer ward aids, helpers and community workers who offer their services at a minimum fee to aged individuals in the community.  Service fees are very reasonable and are based on the income of the retirees.

Home Help Services help older persons in the community with:

  • Personal Grooming
  • Bathing/Bedbathing/Showering
  • Hair washing
  • Shaving
  • Trimming of Nails (diabetics excluded)
  • Washing and ironing of personal clothing 

 

Light Domestic Duties, including:

  • Mopping kitchen floors
  • Wiping kitchen cupboards inside and out
  • Cleaning of refrigerator (if defrosted)
  • Cleaning of oven (if sprayed the night before)
  • Cleaning of bathroom

Our Home Help Supervisor will contact you to arrange a visit. She will:  

  • Assess your needs
  • Outline the service
  • Review your income
  • Determine an affordable tariff with you
  • Explain our payment procedures
